This bachelor project, Au2aemy, is the result of the last semester at Aarhus school of marine and technical engineering. It´s based on a project that Au2mate is currently working on, which is a small academy, where they want to offer their customers the opportunity to learn everything they need to know, to successfully run a diary. The academy is going to consist of two different rooms, in one of them is going to classroom/simulations room and in the other room is going to be a miniature version of a realistic dairy plant.
The problem of this rapport is about finding the necessary utilities for diary plant to be able to run is as realistic as possible. Before being able to finding the necessary utilities, I needed to study how a diary plant operate, before be able to determine the right utilities. From there studies I found out that the utilities that was needed was cold water from a refrigerant plant, some hot water from a boiler and some air pressure from an air compressor. Because the diary plant is to be placed close to offices, there was some requirements, to the different utilities. To be able to meet the requirements according to the plans for the utilities, all the parts of the utilities, needed to be watched separately. By watching the different parts separately, it´s was easier to determent, which part would be the best in the given situation. After finding the best parts, the different parts was written down and some companies was contacted to give an offer on the assembled product.
Before being able to determent the size on the refrigerant plant and boiler, there was some calculations that had to done. The calculations was made from the plans of the dairy plant and then oversized a little bit, to make sure that future requirements are meet.
